A class for writers who are working on or have completed a draft of a chapter book, middle grade, or young adult novel. Join published children's novelist Eric Bell as he discusses ways to brainstorm ideas, work through plot hurdles, and incorporate feedback. Students will have the opportunity for part of their work to be critiqued by the class and instructor. Ideal for students who have taken a previous class with Eric, though prior participation is not required. A class for writers who are working on or have completed a draft of a novel. Join published novelist Eric Bell as he discusses ways to brainstorm ideas, work through plot hurdles, and incorporate feedback. Students will have the opportunity to write off of prompts designed to incorporate the class lessons and to share their writing in a supportive environment. Class is designed for any type of novel writing, of all genres and age categories.

Eric Bell

Eric Bell is the author of two juvenile fiction books: Alan Cole Is Not a Coward and its sequel, Alan Cole Doesn't Dance, both published by HarperCollins. Alan Cole Is Not a Coward was nominated for the 2018 ALA Rainbow List of GLBTQ Books for Children & Teens. Eric has experience leading workshops and classes in the Philadelphia area. He is eager to bring his unique blend of writing experience, interactivity, and good humor to Main Line School Night.
