Michael Martin Cohen

Michael Martin Cohen, M.D. has been in Neurology private practice on the Main Line for 40 years and is a former Chief of Neurology at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center for almost 20 years. He is teaching two courses this fall / winter. The first is Your Aging Brain: And What You Can Do About It. This course focuses on how your brain functions, what can go wrong as we age, how to stay healthy, and perhaps most importantly how to become the best advocate for yourself and your family; avoiding the marketing nonsense that fills the airways and social media. The second course is Nautical Health: Your Body on The Water, which reflects a lifelong interest in boating health dating back to his original text, Dr. Cohen’s Healthy Sailor Book, published in 1983. In the 80’s Dr. Cohen and two other physicians formed Health On the Water to provide hands-on first aid seminars for boaters from Maine to Florida. Dr. Cohen is a life-long sailor and the author of the current Healthy Boating and Sailing: Optimize Your Health and Performance on the Water
