Spring highlights our fascination with how sunlight can dapple through trees and clouds to illuminate a variety of landscapes or blaze through windows to make interiors glow and how moonlight can hint at midnight dreams and a sense of wonder – or fear. A diversity of artists using a variety of styles from different times and places will illustrate how painters have interpreted times of day and night in historical to contemporary settings.
