Jane Austen thought Emma “a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.” That may or may not be true about the character Emma, but the book "Emma" is one that readers love. This popular Austen novel underscores her sharp wit and elegant writing. While not a mystery, the book is filled with riddles, anagrams and puzzles that the characters (and readers) must solve. There have been many film adaptations of "Emma",including “Clueless." We’ll see clips of some of these adaptations as we move through the book.
