From the yellows of Turner, the blues of Picasso, the reds of Rothko to the orange glow of African American colorist Alma Thomas’s exuberant Color Field paintings, artists have, and continue to, light up their canvases with hues that vibrate, excite, calm, and emote. Delve into the life and times of those who created key works of art that gave rise to Fauvism and other color-connected ‘isms. Each conversational-style class features a diversity of artists and includes short videos to enrich the discussion
