Artists who painted the natural beauty of the landscape in and around Bucks County at the turn of the century formed a vibrant art colony known as the New Hope School of Art. Their work reflects a purely American interpretation of Impressionism and is described by art historians as "our first truly national expression." It is the story of the founders, William Lathorp and Edward Redfield, of women artists known as The Philadelphia Ten and of present day artists and many others in between. Through illustrated lectures, learn about this rich local heritage and how it can still be appreciated and experienced today.
