According to TS Eliot, “Dante and Shakespeare divide the world between them; there is no third.”
Dante is considered to be one of the greatest poets of all time, but many of us have not taken the time to read his Divine Comedy. Together, we will read and discuss the whole work, reading 4 to 5 cantos a week. Join us for a trip through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise!
We will use the translation by John Ciardi, which has excellent notes and is available in paperback.
