In 2024, there will be an estimated 2 million new cancer diagnoses in the U.S. Approximately 10% of those cases will be hereditary in nature. Fortunately, the death rate has been declining, due in part to early detection through screening of high-risk patients. Discuss who should undergo genetic testing, understanding the test results, and how to use them to protect yourself and your loved ones from a potentially preventable disease.
