Do you spend your days sitting at a desk, working on your computer or texting on your phone? Some common causes of back pain include compression, injury and poor posture. If you are looking for a cutting edge method to reduce compression and pain, improve joint mechanics and posture – you may benefit from an ELDOA class. Created by renowned French osteopath, Guy VOYER DO, ELDOA poses are designed to "create space" between joints in the spine, hips and shoulders. In this interactive class, learn and practice these exercises and experience such benefits as reduced pain, better muscle tone, and increased well being. ELDOAs are great to practice in the evening to counterbalance the effects of daily life on the body.

Notes:

Students should bring a yoga mat, water, and hand towel.

In 2013 I made a career change into the health and fitness field. I began my studies at the C.H.E.K Institute in California. Teachings include full postural assessments, corrective exercise to realign the posture, conditioning the core and improving stabiliaztion. The C.H.E.K Institutes' philosophy that true health is more than physical fitness, changed my life. Paul Chek teaches about the 4 doctors: Dr. Diet, Dr. Quiet, Dr. Happiness, and Dr. Movement. It is balance (yin/yang) of all the doctors that takes you on the path to true health. In 2016 I was introduced to Dr. Guy VOYER, DO, a French Osteopath who created a program known as SOMA Training. Through the teachings of Guy, I learned about ELDOA (aimed to create space between joints in the spine, hip, shoulders, and sacrum), segmental strengthening (strengthening each fiber of the muscle, and MyoFascial Stretching (to maintain the health of the fascia (connective tissue). I am blessed to have the opportunity to learn under two amazingly brilliant men. I use these teachings to work one on one with clients and teach group classes, to aid clients in improving their overall well being. I am continuing my education under Guy VOYER, as I work to complete his program. Currently, I am one of forty-eight students in the United States with an ELDOA Trainer certification.
