The Philadelphia Museum of Art has a wonderful collection of amazing art by and about White, Christian, European and American men. We won't be seeing those works in this class. Instead we will see fascinating art by and about women, African-Americans and people of color. We'll also talk about depictions of Judaism in western art and meet some famous Jewish artists.
