A momentous transformation took place in Europe starting in the fifteenth century. Society, economics, politics, and culture were transformed. This change appears quite clearly in the art produced during the period. Examine these alterations and their causes, and how the artistic expressions reflected them. The fifth session will take place at the Philadelphia Museum of Art where examples of this art will be examined.
