OR
Seventeenth-century England saw a series of conflicts between the Stuart monarchy and Parliament, leading to the beheading of one king and the banishment of another. The English Civil Wars and the Glorious Revolution represent two critical events in shaping Britain as well as her North American colonies. Consider those dramatic events through the reigns of James I, Charles I, Oliver Cromwell, Charles II, James II, William and Mary, and Queen Anne.
