Hillwood Estate Museum & Rose Gardens in Bloom

NEW Marjorie Merriweather Post bought Hillwood in 1955 with a vision to inspire and educate through her comprehensive collection of Russian imperial art,18th C French decorative arts and 25 acres of serene woodlands and landscaped gardens. Enjoy the Perry Wheeler designed rose garden in bloom during a docent-led tour of the grounds. Following lunch, tour the mansion with an expert guide. Two special exhibitions are onsite: On Time - Post's collection of decorative clocks and Interwoven: A Tradition of Textiles featuring both antique and contemporary fiber artworks. Lunch on your own.
