Create still life paintings that have personal meaning for you. Bring in still life subjects that have emotional importance or visual interest for you. We'll work from direct observation, rather than photos, in the medium you choose. Class demonstrations will be provided each week, along with instruction in techniques for your medium. Prerequisite: basic familiarity with your medium, acrylic, oil, watercolor. Supply list on receipt.

Nancy Miller

Nancy Bea Miller exhibits her work nationally, with gallery representation in Colorado, Maine and Pennsylvania. She has degrees from Penn and PAFA and teaches at various local institutions and privately. Joseph Sweeney will teach Figure Drawing on Nov. 1 & 8, 2022. Joseph Sweeney, professional artist and instructor, has exhibited nationally and is currently represented by Gallery 222 in Malvern and Cerulean Gallery in Philadelphia. Many public and private institutions, private collections and museums own his works. He holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts) and a Master’s Degree in Printmaking from Pennsylvania State University. He teaches at PAFA and the Wayne Art Center.
