Flying, nesting, feeding – there’s nothing quite like observing birds in their own habitats and there is no better way to do it than in this urban oasis framed by the Philadelphia skyline. It’s one of the best places in Pennsylvania to view migrant waterfowl, shorebirds, heron and songbirds. This easy, informative hike (approximately 2 miles) will take you through the Tinicum marshes where you may spot some species which are rare in this area. Along the way your guide will discuss strategies for identifying birds and the best binoculars to use.
