Underneath the 200-year-old church nave of the Old St Patrick's Cathedral in New York are the crypts that have been a silent witness to the many struggles and accomplishments of prominent New Yorkers. Just recently, the Basilica decided that it was time to open the underground crypts for public touring. The docent led tour includes the history of Old St. Patrick’s, the interior of the Basilica, the cemetery and, of course, the catacombs. The tour will be followed by a visit to Grand Central Station. After lunch on your own at the many restaurants in the station, a docent led tour will give you the history and significance of this magnificent building. You will also have a chance to see Grand Central's holiday train show.
