Maria Ocando Finol

Maria’s experience with online learning began in 2014 as part of her teaching and doctoral work at Arizona State University. There, she piloted, taught and evaluated hybrid and online Spanish courses, served on committees to evaluate and advance the School of International Letters and Cultures’ tech-enhanced and online offerings, and co-founded a community of practice on computer-assisted language learning. With over ten years of experience teaching in low- and high-tech educational contexts, and a strong background in pedagogy, Maria is an educational technology specialist at BMC, and serves as project coordinator for the Online Teaching Institute.
