John Kincade

John grew up in Broomall and attended St. Anastasia grade school and Cardinal O’Hara high school. He chose to attend and graduated from Temple University where he studied various media related fields. In college he had the honor of interning for the now defunct PRISM Sports, WCAU Radio, Howard Eskin at KYW 3 and the Philadelphia Flyers. While working at two locally based corporations after graduation, Donnelley Directory and Shared Medical Systems, John continued following his dream of working in sports. He worked part time doing video and statistical analysis with the Philadelphia Flyers under Head Coach Mike Keenan. He interned with WIP Radio and began a high school ice hockey coaching career that had him leading teams at WC East High School, Downingtown High School and the Haverford Hawks. John moved to Atlanta with his business career and began hosting a sports radio show on the weekends. It was in those first few years in the South that he battled cancer twice. He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 1995 and testicular cancer in 1997. After surviving both cancers he decided to pursue a career in sports broadcasting full time. He began a 22 year run where he co-hosted the South’s longest running sports radio show “Buck and Kincade,” worked as a TV and Radio host for the NHL’s Atlanta Thrashers and co-hosted “The BIG Podcast with Shaq” with Shaquille O’Neal. John returned to Philadelphia in January of 2021 to join 97.5 The Fanatic. He has been thrilled to get to finally spend time on the airwaves in his hometown celebrating the teams he has always loved. In 2023, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer and underwent a protracted double chemotherapy treatment to save his life. Kincade is a member of the Cardinal O’Hara and Temple University Hall of Fames. He resides in West Goshen with his wife of 22 years Cristina and his daughter Olivia is a senior at Temple University. Since 2023, John has been an adjunct professor in the Klein College of Media teaching a course in Talk Radio. You can follow him on X @johnkincade and on Instagram @kincaderadio
