Learn how folk music and dance have inspired classical composers from Spain, Latin America and beyond. Class will focus on the forms, instrumentation and other stylistic elements of the music and include musical selections by da Falla, Ginastera, Piazzolla, Ravel and more.
Elizabeth Cochran
ELIZABETH COCHRAN plays the Double Bass and received an AB from Bryn Mawr College. She also received a Diploma in Music from the New School of Music in Philadelphia, where she was a student of Michael Shahan. Elizabeth performs with numerous symphonic and chamber ensembles in the Philadelphia region, including the Delaware Symphony, Pennsylvania Ballet and the Philly Pops. In addition to her work as a bassist, she is the organist at Central Baptist Church in Wayne.etclizard@gmail.com
