Shireen Qadri & JD Walsh

Shireen’s family hails from Kashmir, a region located in the Himalayan Mountains of North India where families show love through the daily preparation of fresh food. She grew up eating Moji’s (her mother’s) delicious dishes that were prepared with a unique base of freshly ground aromatic spice mixtures (called masalas) that livened every meal. JD, who is Irish-American, grew up on Long Island but spent five years working in India. When he returned home, he found that he constantly craved the tastes of India that he enjoyed while there. So, Shireen & JD decided to cook more frequently. But they quickly realized the process was costly and time-consuming. So, moji masala was born, making pre-measured spice mixtures and recipes readily available for anyone to cook Indian food anytime.
