NEW Rembrandt van Rijn is one of the best-known artists of the Dutch Golden Age, though he was far from typical. Most Dutch artists were specialists, the best way to survive in the competitive environment of the 17th century Netherlands. Both painter and printmaker, Rembrandt produced portraits, landscapes, and religious subjects. These illustrated lectures will explore a selection of Rembrandt's paintings and prints.
