In this interactive class, your teen will learn to create a budget and manage money starting with choosing a profession and budgeting within that salary. They will learn about tax and social security deductions and how to spend the remainder which may include saving for college, living expenses, pets and entertainment. Students will discover the value of “living below your means,” the importance of education and maintaining a good credit score for achieving financial success. Appropriate for those in late middle school and early high school. Price includes 1 adult/1 teen. Must be accompanied by a parent.

Currently working as Vice President, Service Manager for Bryn Mawr Trust in Wayne, PA, Cindy is a banking and finance professional with 10 years of relevant experience. She earned her bachelors degree in Economics and Finance at Southern NH University in Manchester, NH. She has previously participated in a similar and very successful program in NH called ‘CU for Reality’ sponsored by local credit unions. This program allows students to experience real-life financial challenges in a safe environment as well as test their current financial knowledge and level of understanding when it comes to maintaining a household and family budget.
