NEW Beginning in 2026, the interpretation and installation at historic Cliveden House will focus on the period between construction in 1763 and the Chews’ removal from Philadelphia after the Battle of Germantown in 1779. Start with a talk about the research and development behind this new installation and then tour the house to discuss the Chew family, laborers and people enslaved there while engaging with themes of identity, consumerism, material culture, service and revolution.
