The Ancient Greeks have provided us with democracy, philosophy, epic poetry, classical architecture, history, theatre, geometry, and the Pythagorean Theorem. One wonders how these people, living in a rather stark habitat, surrounded by hostile enemies, could have produced so much of what becomes Western Civilization. In this class, we will discover how.
