Whether you’re a veteran, have a relative who is, or are simply interested in naval history, here’s your chance to learn what you don’t know about how victory almost eluded the Americans. Course includes a brief introduction to Japan’s pre-war cultural history, the economic factors which led to Pearl Harbor, the Japanese occupation of Asia and some of the ensuing iconic battles in the Pacific. Consider MacArthur ’s island hopping campaign across the Solomon Islands, New Guinea and the Philippines plus other battles where victory was in the balance. Each session includes light reading and an engaging PowerPoint presentation.
