The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC is a state-of-the-art building opened in 2016, that addresses nearly every aspect of the African American experience, covering the arts, slavery, the Civil Rights Movement, athletics and much more. A self guided timed museum tour will be followed by lunch on your own and the ability to continue to tour the museum or explore the Mall on your own after lunch.


The trip will take place rain or shine. Be sure to dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes. There will be no credit for cancellations after 10/24.
