We spend one-third of our lives asleep. Why do we sleep, and what exactly are our brains doing while we aren’t conscious? Explore what scientists currently know about sleep. Take a look at our understanding of the purpose and meaning of dreams. Finally, examine sleep difficulties and the importance of sleep, and briefly touch on current approaches to getting better sleep.
