While the paintings of Auguste Renoir may be icons of Impressionism, his drawings, watercolors, and pastels were central to his artistic practice. Organized by Musee D’Orsay and the Morgan Library, this exhibition of over 100 artworks is the first in 100 years to explore the ways he tested ideas and planned compositions, interpreting landscapes and the human figure. It reveals Renoir’s creative process while offering insights into his artistic methods over five decades. Lunch on your own.
