Featuring more than 1,000 works across two world class museums, A Nation of Artists exhibition spans three centuries of American art, with special additions from the Middleton family collection. Trace the ever-evolving story of American creativity as shaped by the crosscurrents of patronage, cultural exchange, historic events, and imagination. What makes a work of art American? Is it a matter of geography, style, or subject? Encounter diverse points of view from indigenous makers, the Peale Family, Eakins, Beaux, Bellows, Pippin, O’Keeffe, and Hopper. An optional field trip to the Philadelphia Art Museum will follow after the final class.
Fee: $75.00
