Jane Austen thought Emma “A heroine whom no one but myself will much like.” That may be true about the character Emma, but the book Emma is one that readers love. This popular Austen novel underscores her sharp wit and elegant writing. The book is filled with riddles, anagrams and puzzles that the characters as well as the readers must solve. Film clips from the many adaptations will be added to our lively discussions.
