Explore the beautiful possibilities of the mandolin. For beginners and students with some experience. Learn to tune the instrument and play easy tune sets that are used in local sessions and in Ireland. Students who have basic knowledge already will learn more advanced ornamentation to enhance your playing. Individual help will be given. Bring your instrument (any model) to class.

Teresa Kane

Terry Kane grew up in a proud community of Irish-Americans who had emmigrated after the potato famine around 1850. As the youngest of 11 children she can't remember a day without song and dance, harmonizing with her mother and siblings. An experienced teacher and performer, Terry holds a Master's degree from Crane School of Music. She is a life-long set and céilí dancer. A performer of traditional Irish music, she sings and accompanies herself on guitar, banjo, and mandolin and has released 8 Irish recordings.
