Ready your scabbard. The Pirates of Penzance are coming, raising plenty of hijinx in Gilbert and Sullivan’s greatest hit. Learn the context for this satire as serious issues of Victorian England are addressed:  illegitimacy, wayward orphans and, well, piracy. All are handled uproariously with the most delightful music in English operetta. Noted music lecturer Middleman lifts the curtain on the meanings and madcappery with sparkling videos. Join this crash course in G&S and Pirates pranks.
