Ginger Rogers fondly remembered her films with Astaire as “the only jewels of my life.” Mikhail Baryshnikov raved, "No dancer can watch Fred Astaire and not know that we all should have been in some other business.” Here is the story of America’s greatest musical film star, the quintessential model of style and sophistication effortlessly shimmying through dazzling dance sequences to music by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. Thrilling videos and expert commentary capture Astaire’s life and times.
