Examine the theological trends in Christianity. Address the influences of earlier religious traditions that were essential in the formation of Christianity. Consider the subsequent evolution of Christian theology by situating particular theological beliefs within specific moments in time and across Eastern and Western traditions. Finally, survey contemporary Christain theology by analyzing a variety of theological beliefs that exist today."

Connor Williams

Connor Williams holds a Master of Philosophy with Distinction in Intercultural Theology and Interreligious Studies from Trinity College Dublin (2021) . He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies from Campbell University (2020). While at Campbell University, he studied systematic theology alongside church history and philosophy. At Trinity College Dublin his studies focused on "Religions, politics, ethics and pluralism in multiple contexts", ecumenical dialogue, "Liberationist and interreligious theologies that blend interfaith dialogue with the themes of justice, peace, reconciliation and the integrity of creation involving Buddhist-Christian, Buddhist-Muslim, Hindu-Muslim, Christian-Muslim and Jewish-Christian and indigenous traditions". At both institutions, he researched and presented on numerous theological trends and beliefs throughout history and across cultures, including understanding the dialogue between Muslim and Christian theologies of liberation during the Civil Rights Movement as exemplified by Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. He will be presenting at the prestigious Annual Conference of the American Academy of Religion in November 2022.
