In 1911, a republican revolution successfully overthrew China's last imperial dynasty, the Qing Dynasty. Learn about the end of the Qing Dynasty and the promise and establishment of the foundations of China's 20th century, including how the salient "century of humiliation" remains critical to Chinese identity today.
