Enjoy a guided hike along the beautiful Boxer’s Trail and explore East Fairmount Park with its colonial-era mansions. Learn how this area, formerly a series of private estates, became one of the largest and most famous urban parks in the world. The mansions are considered to be among the most significant architectural examples of this time period with their styles and furnishing providing insights into the culture and domestic life of the Revolutionary era. Enter Laurel Hill Mansion, Woodford Mansion and Historic Strawberry Mansion for guided tours of their impressive antique collections. Students will hike a 3-mile loop on a combination of flat, grass and sidewalks and hilly gravel trails.
