Discover three extraordinary lesser-known interior spaces and learn the history of their artists and patrons while viewing these dazzling artistic treasures close-up. This photographic mini-vacation includes: The Medici’s Chapel of the Magi in Florence, the Studiolo of Duke Federico da Montefeltro, in Urbino, and, in Parma, a masterpiece of illusion, the private study of Abbess Giovanna da Piacenza— a true “Renaissance Woman”.

Carla Gambescia is the author of the acclaimed book La Dolce Vita University: An Unconventional Guide to Italian Culture from A-to-Z, a rousing tribute to Italy, Italians and a culture that has contributed so much to the world. The book was the winner of the Silver Prize for “Best Travel Book of the Year 2019” awarded by the North American Travel Journalists Association. A native of Philadelphia, Carla is also a marketing executive, former restaurateur and avid traveler; she co-created the Giro del Gelato bike tour which won OUTSIDE Magazine’s Best Trip in Western Europe.
