Embrace nature’s own apothecary and discover the healing properties of early spring flowering trees like the cherry blossoms and magnolias. Learn hands-on some simple fermentation methods to make these tree flowers pop with flavor. Discuss how to identify these special trees and trace their modern and historical contributions to the herbal apothecary. Sample some recipes for syrups and ferments and start making them a part of your medicine cabinet.


Students should bring two quart sized mason jars and a tea mug.
