Among them Charles Dickens, Wilkie Collins, and Sherlock Holmes' creator, Arthur Conan Doyle, represent almost 150 years of Victorian and Edwardian fiction, including mysteries, the supernatural, and the macabre. This session will look at the three writers as a continuum and at their influence on each other and on some modern mystery writers. We'll also look at some travel destinations for the trio and for Collins and Doyle, their Celtic heritage. For those interested, we can adjourn to a nearby British tea room for lunch on our own.
