From Gilbert Stuart's patriotic portraits to Basquiat's raw social commentary, explore how artists captured and portrayed the nation's evolving identity. Witness shifting values in America, from the romantic landscapes of the Hudson River School to Warhol's pop-art critique of consumerism, and discover how these iconic works reflect   complex views of life in America.
